Alex Golec is a software engineer, technology leader, and computer science educator. He is currently leads the Ads Optimization and Machine Learning group at Reddit, a team of data scientists, machine learning specialists, and backend engineers dedicated to improving the ads experience on Reddit.
He was previously a software engineer and technical lead at Google, where he developed automated bidding algorithms and petabyte-scale data systems as a member of the Ads Optimization group. He holds a B.S. in Computer Science from Columbia University and a B.S. in Mathematics from Fordham University. He is based in New York City.
